Porosity

The location of this design is along the eastern side of Kangaroo Point. The key idea was to create openings along the edge of the river to allow floodwater to flow in and out without getting trapped behind barriers or in the low points of the site (such as the top zoomed in plan). The second part of the design was the creation of green space (grassed parks and ‘forest’ riparian areas) along the river for this increasingly high density suburb, as well as waterfront access along the entire site.
